And it seems like there are more of them lately. Or maybe I am just deluded. Jamie, I agree 100%. An older relative was telling me the other day how she was given diet pills and threatened with hospitalization when pregnant with her daughter, because she was supposedly gaining so much weight. She said she was retaining water at some point during the pregnancy, but it turns out she only gained 9 pounds and the baby was 9 pounds!! I guess times haven't changed so much, although thankfully the article does point out that you shouldn't lose weight during pregnancy. Scary thing, considering what dieting can do to a growing fetus.
